I couldn't believe it when Jane, Steve's widow, called me to tell me he had pased away. We'd had so much fun reconnecting with him and meeting Jane at the 50th birthday party and the reunioon that followed it. We laughed about all the special Janes in his life. I miss seeing his smiling face.

There are so many "interesting" memories of Steve - cause Steve was a rascal .
A rascal in only the Very BEST sense of the word.
His quirky sense of humor, quickly followed by that twinkle in his eye with one raised eyebrow were his trademark.
If Steve Ewing was around, there were some laughs !

His outlook on life is especially admirable in light of the fact that his homelife didn't involve much laughter.
We never knew what happened to Steve's Dad. He just wasn't there.
His mother wasn't able to cope very well with raising two boys by herself, so Steve was pretty much the Head of the Household & parent for his younger brother.

So, Steve has EARNED the joy & laughter he's having with all those pretty Angels ! I'm sure he'll meet us some day - eyes twinklin' & cocked eyebrow saying "What took you so long ? This party up here is GREAT !"
