Albert was my "date" to the Oakdale School Graduation Dance in 1960! I am happy to report that he was quite the gentleman; debonair and suave. (Hard to believe, I know, but true!) God's blessings, Albert!

Albert was my first cousin and we grew up very close. Of all the special memories I have of him, this one gives a glimpse into his future talents :
His older sister,"Sister", my brother, Henry, Bert, and I were constantly dreaming up ways to entertain ourselves, and our (usually reluctant) relatives. Our numerous "Back Yard Circus" enterprises not only yielded Big Bucks (penny admission was charged)
but were the beginning of Bert's theatrical training! He was our RINGMASTER - and,as you can imagine, put loads of personality into his performances !
Later, his beautiful bass voice graced the RHHS Choirs. As an adult,Bert got rave reviews starring in many community theatre musical productions such as "Oklahoma"
But I'll always remember that sweet little boy standing in front of the backyard crowd, stick microphone in hand :
"Ladies and Gentlemen and Children of all ages ..."
