Jim and I retired after more than 36 years in education and enjoy the good life. He spends time playing on his farm and socializing in the community; and I spend time renovating and decorating a very old house, writing family history, searching for antiques, and teaching the same Sunday School class I've taught for almost forty years. We are traveling less, only a few trips to Maryland to see our daughter and her family, and enjoying our home and farm more. We are fortunate to have a steady stream of visitors, mostly family and friends, and continue to host family reunions and parties for our extended family.
Our five beautiful grandchildren dominate much of our time. Our son James lives near us on our farm and is the local veterinarian. (He will be opening a new satellite clinic in Rock Hill near Lowe's in the summer.) He has a daughter, Mary Morgan, and a son, J., who spend several hours each week with us. Our daughter, Agnes Ann, and her husband live in Maryland where she teaches at the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy and he teaches at the US Naval Academy. We're fortunate enough to see their son, Sam, and their two daughters, Ann Kathryn (Ryn) and Meg frequently.
Life is good.
