Gail and I grew up 3 doors from each other in Newport, which was 'country' at the time. We both lived in Newport all our lives, (except a few years of my globe trotting with my hubby's job), until her death last year. We were friends in school and out and after graduation saw each other from time to time. I live across from the church where she was a member all her life and where she is buried alongside her mother and father and niece. On my daily walks thru the church yard and grave yard I'm reminded of her each time I pass her burial place. She was such a nice person and I know everyone who knew her misses her greatly.
Gail and I became friends when I started attending Ebinport Elementary in the 5th grade. We would go to each other's house or to the movies. I remember her wedding at Tirzah ARP church. Her bride's maids wore colors of the rainbow - each attendant in a different pastel color. It was a very pretty wedding.
